Hi, my name is Trey.

I first want to start this off by saying I absolutely hate asking anyone for anything. So this is not easy for me by any means.

I was involved in a motorcycle accident March 31st, 2021. An oblivious driver cut me off and I was ejected 30 feet from my bike. I was life flighted to AGH immediately. All I remember is waking up in the emergency room, confused, and thinking, “Wow. that really just happened.” With my mother beside me, I looked at her in tears and said, “I’m so sorry.. You were right.” She was never a fan of me getting the bike in the first place. I suffered a broken wrist, torn ACL, torn meniscus, and torn LCL. The doctor said he’s never seen nerves stretched as much as mine were. Needless to say, my right leg has never been the same.

Since then, I have underwent 7 total surgeries to repair my wrist and leg (2 for wrist, 5 for leg). My last surgery was on February 18th of this year in hopes of repairing my drop foot or “Plantar Fasciitis.”

With all these surgeries comes a LOT of medical bills. The lady who hit me had the absolute worst car insurance which intern, affected how much medical coverage I could obtain from her and her insurance. I am absolutely swamped in medical bills.

I have been out of a job for close to a year now.

In closing, I am so incredibly grateful to even be able to type this. I often wonder why my heart is still beating. How did I survive such a horrific accident? Someone was watching over me that night and decided my life journey isn’t over just yet.

Once again, I just want to express how happy I am to just be here.
