This is Val….

She is a MOM, daughter, sister and one hell of an amazing friend oh and she has cancer!!I

In April Val received the news nobody wants or expects to hear (You have cervical cancer) to say it was a shock would be an understatement. What did she do… she kicked her FAITH into high gear and so did WE. Staging of cancer can take time and the waiting is the worst, Ultrasound, PET scan, CT scan let’s not forget MRI. During the PET scan Val was in excruciating pain and sent to Urgent Care resulting in an unplanned hospital admission. Seems Cancer was being a bully and picking on her right kidney causing issues that had to be addressed with surgery. What did Val do the day she was released? She took time and kept a previous commitment which helped others, not surprising if you know her. So here we are with a plan to move forward and beat this cancer. It’s not going to be easy. It will be intense with daily radiation, a dabble of chemo, and to top it off brachytherapy. There will be co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and medication costs.
