Hey friends,

I’ve known this lady since I was four years old, and despite her being awful at track & field, I can’t think of a bad memory I’ve had with her.

This woman is a rock star. She’s a single mother of an incredible little girl named Catelaya who she calls a demon but for some reason is a spitting image of a six year old Val. During the pandemic she found a way to put Catelaya through virtual school, while working a full time job on site. To be honest rockstar is an understatement.

Talking to Val the other day, she dropped a bomb on me. At the age of 27 she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer. To say it hurts my heart is an understatement, and all mooshiness aside, I promised her I’d do everything I could to make sure her and Catelaya would be as comfortable as possible while dealing with this.

Shes going to KILL me when she sees I made this gofundme because she is NOT the type for ask for help, even in a serious situation like this. But I know from a financial standpoint as a single parent, this wouldn’t be easy to deal with for anyone.
