Help with Emergency Dental Costs for Gwen

For almost five years my two siblings and I have been caring for our 85-year-old mom
on a 24/7 basis, after she became crippled by multiple compression fractures in her spine, due to degenerative disc disease.

Medicare has covered most of the costs for those surgeries and treatments. But now, because of continued bone loss and crumbling teeth, she is in desperate need of oral surgery which Medicare does not cover.

 

Unfortunately, even  between us, we cannot afford to cover the $7,000 expense of full extraction and dentures and we are asking for financial assistance to see her through this procedure.

 

We have recently covered the cost of two emergency extractions, ourselves. She constantly has tooth pain, and her dentist strongly advises having the remainder of her teeth removed, all at once and as soon as possible, because of recurring breakage, infections, and risks they pose to her heart, and health generally.

 

As difficult as it is to ask for help we have no other options. Any size donation to this effort will be greatly appreciated, both for the much-needed medical assistance it will provide as well as the gesture of love your personal support will make.

(She doesn’t qualify for Medi-Cal because she makes about $100 a month over their income limit. Her dental insurance will cover only half of the total cost of $14,000. She also does not qualify for CARECREDIT.)
