Jacqueline’s funeral expenses

Dear Friends and Kind Supporters,

I hope this message finds everyone in good spirits. I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share the story of my sister, Jacqueline Handcock, who has recently faced an unimaginable tragedy. At just 38 years old, Jackie suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton. Despite the incredible efforts of the medical team, she went without oxygen for about 10 minutes before they revived her from her house upon a friend calling 911 for help.

Upon arrival at the emergency room, Jackie endured six separate cardiac episodes, which took a toll on her body and ultimately led to the heartbreaking news that she had been declared brain dead on July 15, 2025 @ 7:33pm After several agonizing days on life support, we had to say our goodbyes as she took her final breath on July 18, 2025 @ 7:19pm upon surgery. In a beautiful act of love, we chose to donate her liver to give another person the chance at life that Jackie so tragically lost because that’s what she would’ve wanted and talked about.

Now, we are faced with the financial difficulties for funeral costs and supporting her two young boys, who must navigate this challenging new chapter in their lives without their mother. We want to ensure they have the resources they need as we have to start from scratch with all their resources and needs.

To honor Jackie’s memory and support her children, we have created a GoFundMe account and are organizing various fundraisers, such as car washes and bake sales. Despite our best efforts, we still have a long way to go.

We are reaching out to our community, friends, and family for support during this incredibly tough time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us cover funeral costs and provide for Jackie’s boys. Your kindness and generosity would mean the world to us as we navigate this heartbreaking journey.
