Medicines urgently needed for Julie's son Billy.

Donation protected

Hello to you all.

I really really do hesitate to call upon you yet again to help my Filipina friend Julita Manzo. So many of you have been beyond generous in the past. You may be saying to yourself that this is all a bit much (I can’t but agree). So if you decide not to donate further, I completely and totally understand.
Recently Julie’s eldest son Billy was struck down by a hit-and-run driver and has suffered serious head trauma. He has been transferred to a hospital in a city hours from home. He has received the necessary surgery on his skull but he is far from being out of the woods. He has lain unconscious in the ICU for several days. He requires daily injections, which, if he doesn’t get them, he may die. Even if he doesn’t die he will likely wake up a vegetable. These injections will be required to help him wake up – which could be tomorrow or it could take up to 14 days, after which he will presumably be restored to consciousness with an intact brain. But this medicine is quite expensive ($390 CAD daily) and must be paid for in advance. Needless to say I cannot handle that. He has already missed a couple of days but the doctors say it is still not too late.
Billy’s mom, Julie, has been outside the ICU this entire time. She is, of course, distraught and desperate. She has no money to speak of, and has had little to eat and no medicines for the painful fibroid tumours which unfortunately have returned.
This is a terrible mess. Please help if you can. Any amount is gratefully accepted. Julie and I (and Billy) are extremely grateful for your generosity.
