This is Lenny.
He turns 6 months old on July 2nd. I’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old. He’s the goodest boy.
At 3:30 AM on June 29th, I found Lenny unresponsive in a large puddle of drool. We rushed him to the vet where he underwent extensive testing and treatment. He wasn’t doing well. The doctors said he was exhibiting a laundry list of symptoms; temporarily blind, mentally incapacitated, head pressing, excessive drool, lethargy, elevated ammonia, ataxic, CP delays in all four limbs, etc.
They did an ultra sound and found that he has a Portosystemic Shunt, something that puppies have in their artery while in the womb that are supposed to collapse after birth, his never did.
His liver isn’t working right and his body has been slowly building up toxins leading up to this point.
Lenny needs surgery to fix the shunt. The medications are helping him maintain stability but without the surgery he has a 33% survival rate. The doctors say without the surgery he will likely have another episode and possibly even worse (seizures, long term damage, etc).
I will do everything, anything to keep him alive and give him a long and healthy life.
But I need your help. Lenny needs your help.
The hospital bills are already $3000+, after surgery and medication they will reach $10,000+.
If this can reach 10,000 people who have the means to donate $1 to helping save Lenny, it’s worth a shot.
Every penny helps.
Please help save Lenny.
