Syrena Polish Folk Dance Ensemble of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was established in 1975 to entertain and educate the public on Polish folk culture through song and dance. Since its formation, Syrena has performed throughout Wisconsin, nationwide and internationally in Poland and Japan.
Syrena was lucky to be chosen as one of just 36 Polish folk dance ensembles around the world to participate in the 50th World Festival of Polish Folk Ensembles in Rzeszów, Poland this July. This is the first time Syrena is participating in the internationally-recognized Polish festival.
Syrena is asking for donations to help ease the cost of participating in an international festival. All donations received will be used to help the dancers fund their festival fees, transportation and costume purchases.
Without the generous support of Syrena over the last 43 years, we would not have the once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase our dances in Poland alongside many other talented ensembles.
