Hi, we're Carrie's parents and we're raising funds to help her pay living expenses during the two months she needs to recover from open-heart surgery. Carrie is a single Mom with a three-year-old adopted daughter and another daughter who is a senior in college. She is self-employed in child care and does have health insurance. During a recent hospital stay for an infection her doctor discovered a two-inch section of her aorta near her heart that is enlarged and requires replacement. Her surgery is scheduled for December 2, 2021 and she will spend 4-5 days in recovery at the hospital before going home. All amounts collected from this funding effort will be used to pay her mortgage and other household expenses during the time she is unable to work.
