Hello, my name is Shawna and I am raising funds for my husband, Robert.

Our family is facing one of the most difficult challenges of our lives, and we are asking for your help. My husband, Robert, has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Hearing those words changed our lives in an instant. During his hospitalization, having chemotherapy, meeting with doctors, and learning about his options, we were told that his best chance for survival is a Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Transplant. We are incredibly grateful that a donor has been found, giving Robert a real chance at life and a healthy future, but the road ahead will be long and difficult.

A Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Transplant is a very serious and intensive procedure. Afterwards, it will require medical care, ongoing medications, and a long recovery period. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket medical and medication expenses are overwhelming and far beyond what we can manage on our own.

We have created this GoFundMe account to help ease the financial burden as Robert prepares for this life-saving transplant and the recovery that will follow.
