Hello, my name is Frantz and I am the proud father of three beautiful children, one of which just celebrated his 8th birthday. His name is Bradley, and he has a little brother and a little sister. We really need your help.
While Bradley was playing with his little brother at the park, he hit his eye and it swelled up immediately. I took him to the Children's Hospital where he was admitted for over a week. It made no sense to me. One minute he was playing and now we're at CHEO where they are running a barrage of tests on him.
Although I was confused and concerned about this horrible situation, I was happy to be able to stay with Bradley every night or he would have been there all alone, and that would have truly broken my heart.
Then, the long awaited diagnosis came, and it crushed me. They told me that Bradley had a rare type of cancer called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH). These cancerous cells mutate, which causes the cells to grow and multiply quickly, then the mutation causes LCH cells to build up and form lesions. The pictures were taken 4 days apart.
I didn't have the heart to tell my baby boy right away because the news hurt me so much that I did not want him to sense my pain and/or feel scared. I guess all parents would feel that way about their child being hospitalized and diagnosed with cancer. I pray that none of you will ever have to experience this with your child. If you have, I include you in my prayers.
We thank God that his chemotherapy is covered. However, the combination of the LCH and his chemo treatments would destroy his developing immune system. This is why his doctors told me to have him receive Naturopathic treatments in parallel to boost his immune system, and they are not covered. This necessary regiment costs a lot of money: Bradley's treatments are estimated to cost over $18,000. This is where we need your immediate financial support.
Please, can you help our family? There is nothing in the world that I want more than for him to be able to play with his siblings again and hear their laughter.
This is our story. Know that we truly appreciate your help and we thank you so much for your prayers and generosity
