Spiral of Victory Monument

During the Second World War and especially during the victorious Battle of Britain Polish airmen played a critical role defeating the Germans. Today, as we reflect on this remarkable contribution and victory, surrounded by the last remaining veterans, we believe that it is our duty to keep their glorious story alive. Inspired by extraordinary courage and strength of the brave men and women, the idea to build the “Spiral of Victory” monument was developed. This is the first memorial in Canada dedicated to Polish airmen, ground personnel and Women’s Auxiliary Air Force serving in the Polish Air Force alongside RAF during the Second World War.

The City of Mississauga is the cultural heart of Polish diaspora and home to the largest Polish-Canadian community in Canada. As a part of a multicultural city, we proudly share our heritage and believe that we are committed to work together to preserve the memory of Polish history and heroes, that’s why we would greatly appreciate any contribution towards the “Spiral of Victory” monument.
