Hi everyone,

I’m writing this today not for myself, but for two of the most resilient, kindhearted people I know, my dear friends, Mike and his wife Misi, who are currently facing one of the toughest battles of their lives.

They are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl named Alisha Diane, who was born here in the U.S. just a couple of months ago. She is a citizen by birthright, and she is their entire world.

Mike and Misi came to the United States legally through the CBP1 program. They are originally from Haiti and they’ve worked hard to build a life here, but they are now in the middle of an asylum case that has become increasingly complicated. Without proper legal representation, they risk being forced to leave the country, and separated from the life and stability they’ve worked so hard to create for their daughter.

By no means, are they asking for luxuries. They are simply trying to raise enough funds to hire an experienced immigration attorney who can help them stay together and continue building a future here as a family.

This family has already endured so much, leaning on their strength, their faith, and their deep love for one another. They deserve the chance to remain together and provide a safe, stable life for their daughter.

They can’t do this alone. I’m asking—if you’re able—to donate whatever you can. Literally every single dollar truly makes a difference. If you can’t give right now, sharing this campaign or keeping them in your thoughts and/or prayers are just as powerful.

Let’s stand up for this family. Let’s help them stay whole.
