After two major back surgeries and a daily battle with PTSD, he’s doing everything he can to recover, but the pain makes steady work impossible. His fiancée, the woman who has been his rock through it all, was recently laid off. She’s been juggling everything—caring for him, looking after their 14-year-old daughter, and trying to hold their family together. But now, they’re facing something no family should ever have to go through: the possibility of losing their home.

The System Is Failing Them

They’ve done everything right. He’s applied for full disability benefits through the VA, but the system moves slowly—too slowly for a family that needs help now. They’ve exhausted every resource, and they're terrified of what comes next if they can’t catch a break.
