Update: after my fall and Willie haveing four more SPATherapy days (chemo days). She is seeing the bills come in from the hospital and doctors. Your kindness has touched her heart. She had two bills over $300 each one come in this past week thank you so much for any bit you can give.

Dear Friend,

 

Just now in the doctors office I just heard one sentence.

 

“You have Cancer. “

 

Did I hear just these same three words again? Was it only ten years ago I first heard these life changing words. Back then it was for Ovarian Cancer. Today it is Breast Cancer.

 

I walked out of the doctors office into the bright sunlight. The shadows on my mammogram seemed to follow me to my car. A strong stillness as well as a surrounding quiet was deafening. My heart was heavy. My eyes wandered to my right and I glanced at my friend Beverly.

 

Beverly was walking silently next to me. Our eyes locked and I knew I was not alone in this. God has blessed us both with your friendship. We are not alone. We are ready for the next battle armed with knowledge and hope. Experience taught us that we survived the big “C” once … we can do it again.

 

These past few years the Covid isolation let me rest as if preparing me for the fight ahead. We can do this. My heart is not as heavy as it was a moment ago. My thoughts turn to you my friend and I smile knowing you will fight with me with prayers and support.
