I found out I was pregnant last October, I was so excited and couldn’t wait to start my pregnancy journey. That soon was taken away from me when I became very ill at 6 weeks with hyperemesis gravidarum. I could not work, I couldn’t support myself financially, physically or emotionally. The toll it took on me and my loved ones was massive. I was admitted at 24 weeks pregnant to the hospital with severe preeclampsia. I then delivered my beautiful baby boy, Caden, at 25 weeks. Weighing 1.6 lbs, we had a long journey ahead of us. Caden had a severe brain bleed at birth due to him being so premature and as a result of this he developed hydrocephalus. He had a 3 and a half month nicu stay, where I was unable to work due to needing to be with Caden and healing from everything as well. Dennis’ (dad) hours were cut short since we found out I was pregnant, our income was and still is super tight. We thought we were in the clear when Caden got home almost two months ago from the nicu. We were not, his hydrocephalus came back and he needed urgent surgery. We are asking for help, for our family, for Caden. Any amount will help us, Caden has a long road ahead of him with many specialty drs and intervention programs. We would appreciate help to get us through, as a family. Thank you in advance.
