We are reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. Our dearest friend, father, son, and brother, Lloyd Sepidoza, has been facing the toughest battle of his life over the past 2+ years. Most of you know that in 2023, Lloyd was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Despite undergoing intensive surgery to remove his initial tumour, his cancer came back and eventually spread to his lungs. The cancer in his lungs became stage 4 and terminal.

Despite undergoing chemotherapy for the past year, his oncologist has recently shared the devastating news that current treatment is no longer effective. He is running out of time.

But there is still hope.

A promising treatment option is available in Mexico, at a clinic called The Immunotherapy Institute . There, will he receive targeted and specialized treatment to his type of cancer - treatment that is not available in Canada. It’s hard to believe that he can receive more effective and potentially life-saving treatment to his type of cancer in a different country, but that is the reality. This facility could provide a hopeful chance to extend Lloyd’s life and improve his quality of living. His oncologist is very supportive of him doing this.

As you can expect, the cost of this treatment is quite expensive. It is an amount that is beyond reach for Lloyd and his family alone. That’s why we’re asking for your help.

We need to raise funds pretty quickly to cover the costs of the treatment and the trip for Lloyd, his mom (Cecille Sepidoza), and his 17 year old son, Noah. They will be there for 3 weeks and his doctors are hoping he’ll be able to go there as soon as next week. The estimated costs of travel and treatment are approximately $100,000. Although if successful, additional treatments may exceed this amount. Your donation will go directly toward funding the life-extending treatment in Mexico and supporting Lloyd’s family with medical expenses. Any money donated that isn’t required for Lloyd’s treatment will be put into a trust account for Noah.

Lloyd has touched so many of our lives with his kindness, humor, and calm coolness. He has always been the one to lift others up. Now, it’s our turn to lift him. This is his only chance at this point and we want to make sure he gets to see his son, Noah, graduate high school in June.
