ANDY’S ARMY “F#CK CANCER” FUND!
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My family and I are asking for help to raise funds to help assist with my dads medical bills and expenses. As some of you may know by now, my dad was diagnosed with colon cancer very recently. The cancer is also in his liver and there is a questionable spot on his lung as well. He’s been paired with a great doctor who has been very supportive and helpful thus far. We are still learning all the details at the moment, but we know he’ll be starting chemo treatments today (2/11/22). He was admitted into the ER Tuesday with the intention of starting treatment ASAP and has been undergoing tests and scans since. He’s got a good team around him, and while this all sounds scary, we’re all maintaining a positive outlook and cheering him on. Just like everything else he’s faced in life, this is just his next challenge!
With that said, his next biggest challenge after fighting the cancer will be the expenses. My dad is self-employed and does not have health insurance. His doctor and staff are working closely with him to push through MediCal and/or Social Security Disability insurance, among other options. Even with those coverages, he’ll still need all the help we can provide. As much as he wants to, he inevitably won’t be able to work for a period of time. Medical expenses on top of regular household bills will be a challenge. My family and I will be forever grateful for anything you can donate to help. I set the goal to 100k, but we have no idea yet how much we’ll need.
We will keep this page updated as the information comes in, so be sure to check back! If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you from all of us!
