Taylor’s Fight

 

 

 

 

Many of you know that Cassie, Erik, Avery, Brady, Chase, and Taylor have had a devastating year. This began with Erik having a life changing accident after falling off a 20 foot ladder 5/21. After surgery he is still healing and in need of more surgery down the road.

 

July 10th 2021 the unthinkable happened when Avery; Cassie and Erik’s 20 year old son died in his sleep. This huge loss has left three little kids without their hero, wondering, broken hearted, and trying to understand. As imagined Cassie and Erik continue on with overwhelming grief of their own, every single day. Avery was a true hero saving many people with organ transplant.

 

At the end of November, Cassie noticed Taylor showing some minor symptoms such as fatigue. Over the past week these symptoms became severe with color changes of her skin (pale). Cassie took her to her doctor where they checked routine labs, these returned critical.

Taylor was rushed to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin where she had many more labs, a port placed, bone marrow biopsy, and central line placed. Today 12/11/2021 it has been confirmed Taylor has B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia requiring 2.5 years of treatment fighting for her life. This is going to require Cassie to take an undetermined amount of time away from her job, to care for Taylor as well as many many other changes and monetary expenses. Cassie is the benefit holder for the family’s insurance. Given her tragedy with Avery all of her short term disability and paid time off has been used for grieving. Today I ask you if you are able to donate the family would greatly appreciate it! No amount is too small. As always prayers or good vibes for strength, healing, and comfort are encouraged and welcomed!
