Hi Friends and Family. As some of you may know, our dear friends; the Glasscocks are in need of a little extra support and love as they deal with Eddie’s most recent confirmed diagnosis of Necrosis Autoimmune Myopathy (Myositis.)
Myositis is a very rare disease that causes a variety of debilitating issues; and unfortunately, in our beloved Eddie’s case, has contracted it’s most aggressive form of degenerative muscle characteristics, resulting in major mobility issues. Where this viral disease derived from is uncertain; we do know that Eddie has extreme resiliency as he has previously bounced back from a 4 year battle with Lyme disease (and subsequent tick bites in March) and COVID-19 at the New Year.
The family has remained positive and hopeful over the last 3 months of this most recent battle; but recognizes that there is a long road ahead. I know that you guys, our army of friends and family, would want to make sure that that the recovery road is paved with as few of bumps as possible. This can be achieved by providing Eddie with as many man-made medical aids as possible.
For this reason, Tony, Shannon (Whitley), Mike, Pam (Neal), Larry, Robin (Roper) and Mitch (Treadaway) and I are reaching out to you with our plea of support: to help us to provide the family with the much needed, uninsured medical equipment and housing upgrades. I know that with your support, the Glasscock family’s journey to fulfillment of life and recovery will be much smoother. All our love. XO
