Making A Difference!

Hi! My name is Carlton Gilmer. I am raising funds for two of my dear friends, who I am blessed to pastor, Pat and Joy Herron.

Many will recognize Joy, by her maiden name, Joy Berthelot. She is the daughter of Reverend Corbett and Miriam Berthelot.

A few months ago, Pat was diagnosed with cancer of the bile duct. The following weeks left Pat disabled and unable to continue to work. This precious family has done everything possible to survive this ordeal, financially.

Yesterday, Pat and Joy were given the news that the cancer has now spread to both sides of the liver, to the lymph nodes surrounding pancreas and his prostate and spleen are now enlarged. Pat was also told that he now has Stage 4 aggressive cancer. 

The situation is dire, but we are believing God for a miracle. We sincerely need and covet your prayers.

This family are members of Crossroad’s Church. They are faithful members who have faithfully served their church.

The Crossroads family has been involved in helping them financially, and will continue to help them during this time. The Herron’s have no small children, but rather, kids who are in college. Continuing to help their kids is heavy weight on a this mom and dad’s heart.

This afternoon, their washing machine broke. The repairman, Jim O’brock said that it cannot be fixed. If you or someone you know, has a working washer that you no longer need, please let us know.

I am prayerfully asking you to help me help them and lift their financial burden off of them. Enough is enough.

Will you help them?

Two things are desperately needed. First, please pray for Pat’s healing. Everyone can do that. Secondly, if at all possible, please consider giving whatever you spend for a cup of coffee, at your favorite coffee shop. Your five dollars can literally change their situation.
