My daughter Niki is a fierce fighter. If you know her, you know that. She is a mother whose kids are her world! (How could they not be?)

She is a private person, and an incredibly determined person. She is independent, and so very capable. She would never ask for help... So her family is asking on her behalf.

Niki was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Invasive ductal carcinoma - stage 3B - most recently it was revealed that it's triple negative - all of this translates to - she knows she has a fight ahead of her. But if anyone can kick cancer's ass, Niki is the girl!

While 'steps' and 'plans' and 'what next' are still being officially determined, what we do know is that chemo will need to be started in hopes of shrinking the cancer enough to attack it surgically.

Niki will work until she absolutely is not able. Eventually, she will need to take some time off. There will be extra expenses, and, as a single mom who always puts her children first, she will have enough to focus her time and energy on!!

While Niki stays focused on fighting, getting healthy, and continuing to be the best mama in the world, we hope to lessen the stress and lighten the load just a bit.
