Hi!
My name is Sophie. I am a sophomore in high school and have strong aspirations of going to med school and eventually becoming a neonatal surgeon. I plan to graduate high school a year early and currently have a 4.17 GPA with five out of six courses being honors.
I was recently nominated by my AP Chemistry teacher and accepted into a summer medical camp, the National Youth Leadership Forum of Medicine. This camp offers several locations to attend, including New York’s Hofstra University and San Francisco’s Berkeley University. The camp is nine days long, and while I am there I will be sitting in on a knee surgery, preparing for medical school, attending medical lectures, learning emergency response techniques, visiting local tourist attractions, and many other things.
Unfortunately, my family is not able to afford the camp’s tuition of $4,600 and travel expenses of approximately $1,000. Attending this camp would be one of the best experiences of my life as well as the perfect opportunity to start my journey as a medical student, but in order to fulfill this dream of mine, I need your help!
It would mean the world to me if you could contribute in any way possible, no matter how small or large the amount. As soon as the first $500 is donated, I will be able to secure my place in the camp.
Thank you for your time and help!
