My name is Charlet (Carly) Henderson and I need your help. I am 17-years old and will be a senior at Eastland Christian School this fall.
I have been invited to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum of Medicine hosted by George Mason University. The Forum will take place in New York, June 18-26th. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that can further my goal of a career in medicine.
When I was 12-years old my mother placed me and my 4 siblings in The Central Florida Children's Home. CFCH has provided a loving Christian home, and a solid, college-prep education at ECS. However, they have no funding available for this opportunity.
The Leadership Forum provides lectures and meetings with prominent doctors, visits to medical school campuses, hands-on practice with diagnostic tools, and lectures on health care careers.
Costs are $5,000 for room/board on campus, air fare, meals for the 9 days. I have raised $1,000, and need $4,000 by the June 16th deadline. You can help now by making a donation so I can participate in this important Forum. Thank you.
