Eddie Reed Pro Racing 2015

Eddie Reed is a professional racer with the National Hot Rod Association.  Born March 21, 1983 Eddie’s passion for racing began at the age of 4 when his parents bought him his first go kart.  His interest in dirtbikes sparked at age 10 when his parents bought him a 1988 Yamaha YSR50. By age 14 Eddie added quads and shifter karts to his mounting repitoire of two and four wheel cycles. At age 16 Eddie would watch Atron Brown which seeded his aspirations to race with the NHRA.  Eddie’s desire for riding lead him to practice at all cost;  once leading to a crash that caused second and third degree burns to his leg which have yet to slow him down. By 18 Eddie a confident and fearless rider began street racing cycles, quads and shifter karts.  Within the next year he graduated to racing Harley Davidson motorcycles.  At the tender age of 25 Eddie received the trophy for racer of the year, a title that remains uncontested!

In February 2013 “at the age of 29” with the support of his family Eddie made the first step in the direction of going Pro and enrolled at the Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing school.  Eddie’s cheery ride on a pro stock Bike he impressed everyone with a time of 7.81 at 159mph.

In November of 2013 he returned to school in pursuit of his NHRA license.  Through sheer determination and with the assistance of Frank Hawley himself and George Bryce, Eddie acquired his NHRA license.

While pursuing his professional career, Eddie has faced some difficult and challenging times.  Eddie’s father who was a major influence and support system throughout his life and process unexpectedly passed away.   Through devastation and disbelief Eddie managed to formulate his pain into fuel for success and in loss found the strength to never give up.

In 2014 Eddie was introduced to the Tonglet family and finally attended his first NHRA race in Gainesville, Florida; he missed qualifications by two hundredths of a second.  Due to unforeseen financial  hardships Eddie was forced to sit out the remainder of the 2014 season.

In 2015 Eddie again attended Gainesville, FL with the Tonglet team and missed qualifications again by two hundredths of a second. Eddie also attended the NHRA races in Atlanta, May of 2015 where he encountered clutch issues with his bike leaving him unable to participate.  Never one to be defeated Eddie attended Chicago in July 2015 where he achieved his first qualifying pass with a time of 7.112 at a speed of 184mph.

Eddie's undying fearless passion  and relentless spirit continues to push him daily towards his dream of racing not only to qualifying, but to win.

Due to financial constraints and lack of sponsorship Eddie has not been able to compete as of late this season.  This page is to reach his friends, fans and family alike with hopes of continued support in assitting Eddie in completing the 2015 season.  Your donations will not only allow him to race, but they will also put him closer to his dreams.

With each Donation of $100 or more, the donor will receive a signed official Eddie Reed Racing t-shirt along with a signed Hero card.

My family would like to thank each and every one of you in advance for your continued prayers, support and shared joy in Eddie's success!!!

Thank you,

Lynn
