Help Andrew Wonder Keep Cancer Backstage

Donation protected
This campaign came to life thanks to the encouragement of Steak, whom many of you know from YouTube. After having Andrew on his livestream, he reached out and asked if he could help, and he plans to share this with his audience. We’re incredibly grateful for his support (and the support of his community).

Andrew is an entertainer - the kind who makes people lean forward, laugh harder, and see the world just a little differently for a moment. He’s spent his life creating wonder for others, using carefully crafted illusions, storytelling, and a whole lot of love for the audience in front of him.

And right now, Andrew is facing something he can’t make disappear.

At the beginning of July, a sore arm sent him to the doctor. What we thought was minor turned out to be a tumor. Two weeks later, we learned it was Stage 4 melanoma. Our lives changed in a matter of days, and we’re still catching our breath. As a self-employed entertainer, he doesn’t have a safety net - no sick leave, no 401K, no fallback plan - and there’s a quiet worry in the background: what happens if he can’t keep doing what he does?

Right now, he’s feeling good - in fact, better than most people might expect. He’ll be starting immunotherapy soon, which is different from chemotherapy. It doesn’t cause the same immediate side effects, so in the beginning, there’s a good chance he’ll still be able to enjoy life, stay active, and spend time with our family. But that window may not last long. We don’t know how his body will respond - and that’s why this moment matters so much. This is our chance to make memories before the harder days begin.

But this campaign isn’t about bills or treatment plans. It’s about something more precious than that.

It’s about memories.

We’re asking for help to make a meaningful, joy-filled family trip happen - while Andrew is still feeling well enough to travel, laugh, and be fully present. We’re calling it our GoFund a Wish - a grown-up version of Make-a-Wish, rooted in real magic: time with the people we love most.

We’ve been married for 28 years and have raised 8 amazing kids. And while we’ve had wonderful memories over the years -including a big family trip over a decade ago - it’s been a long time since we’ve had the chance to do something like that again. Life just hasn’t allowed it - between raising a big family, running our small business, and keeping everything going.

Now, we want to create a trip we’ll all remember - a chance to be together, laugh, and make memories as a family. Our younger kids (ages 9 and 10) haven’t had the kinds of experiences the older ones grew up with - the road trips, the late-night hotel swimming, the simple, unforgettable family moments. And we want them to have that - while there’s still time. Hopefully, we’ll also be able to include our granddaughters (ages 3 and almost 2), who bring so much light into our lives.

If this campaign goes far enough, we’d love to use it to reconnect with more of our family - including a son and daughter-in-law we haven’t seen in over three years, a son currently serving a mission in Canada, and another preparing to serve a mission for our church in Oregon this September.

For this trip, our dream is to spend a few days at Walt Disney World and then go on a Disney Cruise - something we’ve never been able to do. While we did visit Disneyland years ago, we packed our own cooler for meals and skipped all the extras. We’ve never stayed in a Disney resort or experienced the full magic without worrying about every penny. This time, we hope for a week where we don’t have to cook, clean, or - most importantly - constantly worry about the future. That’s the real magic of Disney. Your help will go toward park tickets, accommodations, meals, cruise costs, and travel - making this a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Every dollar from this campaign will go directly toward creating this once-in-a-lifetime trip, while Andrew is still feeling well enough to enjoy it. Here’s what your generosity will help cover:
• Airfare for four travelers to Orlando, Florida
• Park tickets for Walt Disney World — including all four main parks and park-hopper access
• Onsite Disney Resort accommodations so we can stay close to the magic and take full advantage of the time we have
• Meals and dining experiences inside the parks (a first for our family) so we can truly enjoy every part of the experience without packing sandwiches in a cooler
• Extras and experiences like character dining, special shows, or memory-making moments we’ve never been able to afford before
• Disney Cruise accommodations and activities for a few days after the parks, giving us time to relax and make even more memories together
• Travel expenses like ground transportation and luggage fees

If this campaign goes above our goal, the extra funds will help with both trip costs and ongoing needs during Andrew’s treatment — giving us a little more breathing room as we face the unknown.

Even if you can’t donate, just sharing this helps. Kindness helps. And if you’ve ever seen Andrew perform - if he’s ever made you laugh, made your jaw drop, or made your day a little lighter - we hope you’ll consider being part of this.

This might not be magic in the traditional sense.

But it’s real.

And that’s even better.
