I never imagined I would be writing something like this for someone I love so deeply. My dear friend Vanessa was recently diagnosed with stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer. What makes this even more heartbreaking is that she just welcomed her beautiful baby girl, Catalina, into the world only three months ago.

What should have been a season filled with joy, healing, and bonding as a new mother has suddenly become a fight for her life. The cancer started in Vanessa's breast and has since spread to her liver. She has already begun her first round of chemotherapy and is facing a long, physically and emotionally exhausting journey ahead.

Vanessa is not only battling cancer — she is also a brand-new mom doing everything she can to stay strong for her baby girl. No mother should have to face something like this while caring for a newborn, and no family should have to worry about finances while dealing with such an overwhelming diagnosis.

We are raising funds to help support Vanessa and Catalina with medical bills and ongoing cancer treatments, daily living expenses during treatment, baby essentials and childcare support, and the many unexpected costs that come with long-term medical care.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help lift some of the financial burden so Vanessa can focus on what matters most - fighting this disease and being here for Catalina.
