In Memory of Ellie

Hi everyone. My name is Donna, currently a pilot for American Airlines and formerly for Cathay Pacific. My fellow flyer Lynda Meeks, the kindest and most giving of people, has suffered a tragedy that nobody should ever have to live through and survives her beloved daughter Eleanor who passed away under tragic circumstances.

Those of us who know Lynda from past and present work and personal life know her to be the most conscientious and selfless person amongst her peers who, in times of others’ needs, has risen to bring them under her wing and care for them until they managed to hold their own once more to take on life’s struggles, even while going through her own challenges. But this time the world has dealt a blow that would level even the strongest, when Ellie was taken away from this life with no warning.

In order to help Lynda through the coming weeks of grief, a few of us have gathered to try and help alleviate the burden of the aftermath of Ellie’s passing. This GoFundMe will be a monumental help in assisting her with funeral costs and the astronomical medical bills that Lynda will be charged just trying to keep Ellie alive in her final days. As clichéd as it may sound, every. single. dollar will make a difference. And it will make a difference in the life of someone who has spent their years always giving, just to know that people out there share her grief and can extend a hand to help lift her up just that little bit.
