Recovery for Shelby
Shelby is a 16 year old daughter, sister, friend, family member, honor roll student, and percussionist. She is also a teenage girl suffering from anorexia nervosa. She has been fighting this horrible, often life-threatening disease for over a year now, and the time has come for us to pursue a second inpatient, residential stay. Shelby has been accepted for a spot at Center for Discovery in Chicago Illinois. We will be traveling for admission hopefully by the end of this week.
Our family has insurance, but our deductible is very high. Our insurance will not cover all of the costs associated with her treatment, as there will be travel expenses, as well as unpaid time off from work. Our doctors and medical professionals feel that she needs 24 hour care due to the severity of this illness.
Shelby means the world to her family and so many others, we cannot imagine a life without her beautiful soul. The cost of the treatment is more than my immediate family can cover up front and I am asking for your support to help save Shelby and bring her home healthy, because she has such a beautiful long life ahead. We are looking forward to a long, happy life for Shelby, and we have faith that with God's help, she can and will overcome this horrible illness.
