Help Blaire Recover After Surgery and Hurricane Helene’s Aftermath

This past year has brought more challenges than I ever could have imagined. A year after Hurricane Helene disrupted so many lives and communities around us, my daughter and I have both faced major surgeries and long recoveries that have made it hard to keep up financially.

My daughter had PCL surgery and spent six weeks non-weight-bearing, which meant I needed to be there for her a lot of the time while she healed. Shortly after, I underwent my own surgery — the removal of an ovary, cyst, and fallopian tubes, along with a LEEP procedure, for pre-cancerous cells on my cervix. Recovery has been slow and painful, and it’s taken a toll both physically and emotionally.

Between reduced work hours, medical costs, and ongoing living expenses, I’ve fallen behind on rent, car payments, and utilities. I’m doing everything I can to get caught up, but I’ve reached a point where I need a little help to get through this rough patch.

I’m hoping to raise $5,500 to get back on my feet and give us a bit of breathing room while we both continue to heal. Every contribution — big or small — helps us move forward with less stress and more stability.
