Ofelia Advincula is a 68 year old widow - mother of 2, Sarah and Shiela who currently reside in San Diego, CA.  Ofelia was living a perfectly healthy life until December 23, 2015 when she suffered a stroke, leaving the right side of her body paralyzed. Sarah's mother has been in the Intensive Care Unit under observation since the incident occurred, waiting for a blood transfusion and CT Scan.  The day before, Sarah and her mother were face-timing each other laughing, making jokes, and even making plans to speak once again on Christmas Day.  Sarah nor Shiela were prepared for the unexpected so they don’t have the necessary resources to fly back home to their hometown in the Philippines, moreover to be by their mothers side as she fights for her life. 


I am an only child and have a very close relationship with my mom, and I could never imagine being in that situation myself. In times of need, the first people that I turn to for support are friends and family.

Now that one of my co workers is going through a tough time, I will lend a hand, and try my best to be there for her through this rough time.
During the holidays, I would love to help and raise money to fly Sarah and Shiela back home to their mother.
