Helping my family survive the war in Gaza

Hello everyone,

I'm Basam Mohammed, a graduate in accounting, and I have a clothing store in Gaza. I used to live a peaceful and comfortable life with my family of 20 people and my beloved friends. I had big dreams and ambitions until one day I woke up to find everything gone. My house, where I lived for 31 years, filled with all my memories, was bombed and destroyed. My workplace, where I spent my youth developing and creating everything with hard work and love, suddenly disappeared, leaving only rubble behind. My friends, with whom I shared pictures and memories, were killed. All I have left are those pictures and memories. I found myself devoid of everything, standing in the street with no shelter, no work, no friends. I don't want to stay without a family; it's all I have left.

The situation worsens day by day. There's not enough food or clean water to drink. All we have is a piece of cloth to cover ourselves. We don't know if we'll die from the cold, hunger, fear, or the disease that spread due to pollution and epidemics. Perhaps adults can endure, but what about these children? Who will silence their hearts from fear, their stomachs from hunger, their eyes from tears? Eight children are aging beyond their years, and who will silence the minds of adults from thinking about their fate and the fate of their children?

Surviving costs a lot. I managed to save myself and reached Egypt, but should I leave my family to their unknown fate? Should I suffer the loss of my loved ones? Should the world stand still in the face of innocent killings?

Since my arrival here, I've been working to save my family. Each member of my family needs €500, a very large amount to save them all from death. I've only managed to raise €1000I appeal to your humanity and conscience to save my family from death.

Note: All members of my family hold Palestinian passports.
