Prayers For Cody

If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Cody Pound, let me introduce him to you.

Cody is a talented, outgoing, funny, athletic 13 year old boy. Great at all sports, but extremely talented in baseball and soccer. Like most 13 year old boys, Cody loves video games, watching sports (especially wrestling) hanging out (and arguing with his sister) swimming, and making everyone around him laugh. He has been part of the Colebrook community his entire life, and a student at Regional #7.

On December 30th 2021 tragedy shook our family. I will save you all from the heartbreaking details and give you the basics.

Cody had a brain aneurysm. He was rushed into emergency surgery to relieve the pressure in head due to the bleeding. After a 2nd procedure and testing, the Neurology team feel that moving forward, Cody's best option is to have a procedure where they stop the blood flow to the aneurysm, unfortunately it comes with risks. He did test positive for Covid and was without symptoms but now has developed a low grade fever and a cough which is also being treated on top of everything else. His vitals have been really good and he has been an absolute warrior throughout this fight. At this point, we need time, thoughts and prayers. There will not be anymore procedures until the swelling has gone down in his brain. Right now the future is unknown, the Neurology team is working hard to figure out how and why this has happened.

There is going to be a benefit for Cody, Saturday January 15th 2022. Due to the rise in Covid cases recently, We wanted to set up this fundraiser for anyone who can not, and does not feel comfortable to attend and would still like to donate. Mom and Dad are both out of work and right by his side during this time and will provide updates when they are able to.

We appreciate all the love, thoughts, prayers, and words of encouragement that we have received. Cody is told everyday how many people are here fighting by his side for him. He is an incredibly strong young man. Please keep your thoughts and prayers coming, we have a long road ahead of us.
