As many of you know, both Barbara and Liz are two of the most compassionate people you'll ever meet. Several of us can think of a time or two when one or both of them have blessed us with something so amazing we were at a loss for words. Well, now they need us. About a week before Barbara and Liz were going to get married, Barbara was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer. The prognosis of this type of cancer is scary and soon enough Barbara went through an extensive surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible. Before her surgery, they were able to get married in the hospital, which is one of the bright sides of this story but what our two amazing friends need from us now more than ever is money. Barbara has exhausted all of her leave at work and she is losing her bi-weekly salary for at least the next 12 weeks of her chemotherapy treatment. During a time like this, we need Barbara to spend of all her mental energy on getting better. The last thing our two friends need is a financial burden that would cause stress and potentially hurt her road to recovery.
