Help Save My Sick Grandma's Home from Foreclosure

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. My 69-year-old grandmother is on the brink of losing her home to foreclosure, and we are doing everything we can to try and stop it. We are trying to raise $4,000 to cover past-due mortgage payments and prevent us from being forced out of the only home we have.

My grandma has always been a fighter. She’s worked hard her whole life, even while managing serious health conditions like Meniere’s Disease, Addison’s Disease, and surviving double brain aneurysms. Most recently, while working at a senior living facility, she contracted C. Diff during an outbreak at her workplace. During treatment, doctors discovered clogged arteries, including one critical blockage that goes straight into her kidney.

This series of medical emergencies forced her to go on medical leave, and her health has continued to decline. The leave she had for C. Diff has since lapsed, and we are now waiting on approval for new leave related to the arterial blockage. The process has been long and complicated—each of her conditions requires its own separate claim, and navigating all of this paperwork while she’s ill has been incredibly difficult.

Right now, the only steady income we have is her small monthly Social Security check. I ended up having to move down to part-time at my job due to my own debilitating medical conditions, limiting my ability to financially assist like I was before. I live with my grandma and do everything I can to help her, both financially and physically. We have applied for mortgage assistance programs and other government aids the past few months trying to stay afloat, but we have been denied each time.

We share our home with two cats (one of whom is special needs) and a small dog. They are part of our family, and they bring us comfort and emotional support through all of this. If we lose the house, we have nowhere else to go—no backup plan, no safety net. Our extended family is also struggling financially, and no one is in a position to help.

We’re not just fighting to save a house—we’re fighting to save our home, our stability, and what little security we have left.

If you can donate, even a small amount, it will go directly to keeping a roof over our heads. And if you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this campaign with others. Every bit of help—financial or otherwise—means the world to us right now.

Thank you for reading, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any kindness you can offer.

The photos included show how close me and my grandma are, and the one included with her in the hospital was from one of her many trips due to her medical conditions. I’ve also included images of the paperwork sent to inform us of the foreclosure.

UPDATE: With new paperwork received, the total owed amount has been raised to $3,952. I have updated the goal to reflect that, a total of $4,000. I have included a photo of the updated amount sent by the loan company.
