Beirut Explosion - Direct Help To Those Affected

A year later and Lebanon is more devastated than ever! We are trying to raise any amount of funds that will go straight to anyone in need. People are still contacting Shawki to help. The word has gotten out and he is always willing to help! Any amount you can donate will go far.

Yesterday was heartbreaking. It was the one year anniversary of the Beirut explosion. Rebuilding continues despite the absent governed but progress is slow. With the economic collapse and the Lebanese currency losing more than 90% of its value, there is a dire need to help people with food and medicine. Any donations will go 100% to recipients.
There is a shortage of everything from medicine to baby formula to basic food items. As an example, our cousin had to drive to several neighboring towns to find high blood pressure medicine for our aunt. The situation is truly dire.
The stunning part about this is that with current inflation, we can help a family sustain itself for an entire month for just a few American dollars.
Examples of what we can do at todays exchange rate ($1 = 19650LL).
$10 monthly (around 200,000 LL) = medicine for 1 elderly person
$15 monthly (around 300,000 LL) = 1 month supply of milk for a child
$30 monthly (around 600,000 LL) = Monthly cost for basic utilities (Electric, phone …)
$40 monthly (around 800,000 LL) = basic food items for small family (no meat, chicken or fish)
$50 monthly (around 1,000,000 LL) = food items for medium sized family
$100 monthly (around 2,000,000 LL) = Very good coverage for a medium sized family (food and meds)
Other amounts - can split it up among families

Initial estimates are that over 100 people were killed and over 4,000 injured in a massive explosion in Beirut on August 4th, 2020.
Reports are out that 300,000 people will not sleep in their homes tonight.
