El Centro Comunitario de Educación

Hello, my name is Benjamin Handell and I am this year’s fundraising coordinator for "El Centro Comunitario de Educación", a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization composed of a group of high school seniors that believe in empowering and improving the well being of the community by teaching English to Spanish-speaking individuals on Long Island.

"El Centro" was founded in 2005 and offers completely free intensive English classes to children and adults over the summer. Our practical curriculum provides opportunities for all with lessons that complement the unique backgrounds of each student. Our volunteer teachers are leaders in their communities and consistently work to create a positive impact. Your donations will help us obtain much needed supplies to keep El Centro running.
