My name is Sonia Rubio de Diaz, and I decided to start a "GoFundMe" account to assist my cousin, Victor Jc Rubio, with medical and travel expenses. He has been diagnosed with a tumor and will be having surgery on August 3rd, 2021, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. However, health insurance and benefits are not comparable to the U.S.
Toy (Victor's childhood nickname) is an amazing person and a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, and cousin. He is an excellent writer and is an Editor at Periódico Nuevo Día.
He became at a very young age the Head of Household and responsible for his entire family, sisters, and mother (RIP Tia Licha&Luchi). He really is my role model of a survivor!
My faith in God is very strong, and I believe in prayer and helping others.

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help.
