Hi everyone,
I’d love to tell you about something really close to my heart — the New Dream Cambodian Children Organization (NDCCO), a wonderful school here in Siem Reap where I’m currently volunteering as an English teacher.
New Dream was founded in 2014 by a kind, passionate and inspiring named Kimlean, and since then, it has become a safe and inspiring place for over 370 children from underprivileged families. The school offers free English lessons, giving kids the tools they need for a brighter future — better job opportunities, access to further education, and as Kim says a better life.
I have seen first hand how incredible this school is and what an incredible man Kim is. It is like one massive family. Kim story is truly an inspiring one that will forever be in my heart.
What makes this place so special is that it’s run entirely by volunteers and supported only by donations. In addition to classes, the team tries to provide free meals once or twice a week and, when possible, gives rice to families who are struggling to make ends meet.
Thanks to generous supporters, a new school building was recently completed — a huge step forward as more and more children join the program. But there’s still so much more to do. We need help to cover teachers’ salaries, school supplies, food, and support for nearby villages.
If you’re able to give anything, no matter how small, it would make a huge difference. Every cent goes directly to the children and their families — and I can truly say, from what I see every day, that your help changes lives.
Thank you so much for reading and for being part of this beautiful dream.
