Hi, my name is Tashawna, and I'm fundraising for my dad. My dad has been in prison for some time now and he is not doing well. He was a perfectly healthly man who suffered a very severe stroke and fell off a top bunk during that stroke a few years ago,that paralyzed the right side of his body. The family was contacted and allowed to visit him in the hospital because they were unsure that he would survive; since the stroke, he has not been able to speak, walk, or write. I was contacted by another inmate informing me that my dad was not doing well at all. He was the one to informed me that my dad was lying there, giving up on life ad he put it. He was the one who told me my dad wasn't eating, talking, walking, or even being bathe. That all my letters where sitting there piling up and unopened. He felt bad foe him and begin to read him his mail,which was where he found my number.I have not been able to see him since the hospital visit, it's been even longer for my brother. He has two grandkids that he has never met. I have been trying to visit him for a couple of years now, but that is hard to do with unanswered letters and/or requests to the prisons. He was recently moved closer to me November 2021, but I'm told he has no family listed, so I am not able to visit, which is far from true. He has family, we don't have many family members left, but he has one.I was sending mail to the new address. As of last week, the mail has been coming back to me. I'm starting to believe something has happened to my dad.I have reached out to an attorney to help us with visitation rights and/or bringing him home. She is willing to take us on as her client; however, I can not afford the fee. My father will be 60 years old this year, and my fear is he will die in prison.If something has happened to him we have not been contacted. I am trying to stay hopeful in all of this, but it is truly hard. I am reaching out and asking for help. Please help me retain an attorney to get my daddy the help that is needed.No donations is too small.
