Hurricane Ida

Hi my name is Evenny P, I'm currently a junior at Caldwell University. Last night Hurricane Ida hit my apartment that I live in with my mom in Hackensack, NJ. My mom had to evacuate last night, as no one prepared us for how bad this storm was going to be. We did not know how serve the damaged would be until this morning, when our neighbors called us to inform that our apartment has completely been destroyed. My mom is a single hard-working parent, so this devastation of loosing the little that we have is heartbreaking. Times are crazy as we all do not know what tomorrow brings. I hope that in this difficult situation we will find a light at the end of the tunnel. Any bit of help would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone stays safe during these uncertain times!
