Help Joe Beat Cancer
The cancer diagnosis 5 years ago has been life changing for Joe and his family. Joe quickly underwent surgery and then chemo to give him the best chance of a normal life. This meant juggling work and family around treatments and recovery for the next year. To his surprise, his Worsley workmates and family rallied around the Fiorenza’s to ensure they were OK and assisted where they could. In early 2020 Joe was given the best news - that the cancer was in remission! Life could go back to as normal as it could be.
However, in late 2020 the cancer returned, this time with aggression. Joe had more chemo, at a higher rate than previously but with no improvements. This took a toll on him mentally, physically and financially, but still he soldiered on until finally, due to the ongoing treatment and the physical stress on his body, he could no longer attend work.
Joe had hoped to fit the criteria for a new trial, Immunotherapy Treatment, but wasn’t successful in being accepted for the trial. Joe does have an option to pay for the same treatment and, although expensive, he must try it as this is possibly the only way to beat the cancer and prolong his life.
Please help the Fiorenza’s once again by donating funds to help Joe access the new trial treatment. There are many people who have been asking how Joe is going and what can be done to help. If you are able to, donating via this fundraiser is currently the best way to assist Joe as it will help his family afford this expensive and urgently needed treatment. All contributions are greatly appreciated!
