Support Grace and Family After Hurricane Milton

We are reaching out to you during an incredibly challenging time for the Martin-Serridge Family.

Their family home of 23 years, located in DeLand, Florida, has been devastated by Hurricane Milton, leaving them without a place to live.

A massive tree crushed their home, causing severe structural damage and rendering it uninhabitable.

This family consists of Grace Melinda Serridge, a loving grandmother of five grandchildren and the sole caretaker of her mentally disabled daughter, Auralia Martin, as well as Grace's granddaughter, Collette Martin, who is currently attending her first year of college while also working as a teaching assistant in our local theatre's performing arts program.

This family has lost everything they hold dear and are now facing homelessness. The road to recovery will be long and difficult, as they estimate it will take months to rebuild.

The family's insurance policy requires a $9,300 deductible before any repairs can begin, and this amount is beyond their reach. They urgently need your help to meet their immediate needs for shelter, food, and essentials as well as to cover this deductible, because any monies received toward these from the insurance company will come out of the money so very needed to rebuild this home.

I started this fundraiser on behalf of my mother, Grace Melinda, sister, Auralia Martin, and niece, Collette Martin.

All donations will go directly to them and toward the insurance deductible and their current immediate needs for living expenses: shelter, food, and quick replacement of necessities like clothing, gas, toiletries, and pet food for their dog, Winnie, and cat, Marie.
