On November 12th, the lives of the Hernandez Family changed forever. Matthew, who is a sweet, playful, funny 3 year old - a little boy who loves fishing, dinosaurs and cuddling with his doggy- was diagnosed with leukemia.

Their lives are now revolved around hospital rooms, lab results, and the fear no family should ever have to face. He will be starting chemotherapy in the next couple days. The road ahead is long and unpredictable.

As many of you know, Melissa is a nurse and Juan is a firefighter. Both of them have devoted their careers to helping others. But now their full time job is helping their baby fight for his life. Due to the nature of his treatment and the fragile state of his immune system, neither of them will be able to return to work for an unknown amount of time.
