Marlon Aquino was born on September 21, 1973 in Mangaldan Pangasinan Philippines. He resided in the Philippines until he and his brother Romeo Aquino were petitioned to come to America by their father Igmedio Aquino and step mother Normalita Aquino. By 1990 Marlon and Romeo were finally able to come to the US and quickly layed roots in Seattle, WA helping raise their sisters Elizabeth and Catherine Aquino. He then soon found the love of his life Joyce Collado who later became his wife of 30 years and fathered his two sons Jomar and MJ Aquino. Marlon was dealt a hard life but always made the best of it with his wife and children by his side. After the passing of his father Igmedio Aquino in 2014, Marlon was soon diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2015. His struggle with maintaining his health was eleviated thru the unwavering loyalty and support of his wife Joyce taking him to and from the hospital every month.
On March 23, 2024 at around 10:00pm Marlon lost his balance entering the bathroom and suffered a concussion to the back of his head leading to his heart stopping. When paramedics arrived they conducted CPR and was able to stabilize his heart rate where they then rushed him to Valley Medical Center. He was held in critical condition until Tuesday when his immediate family made the decision to end his suffering and to ease him into transition to passing the most comfortable way possible; surrounded by love and his friends and family.
Marlon was a devoted family man, he loved the Seattle Seahawks, mountain biking, music, cars, dogs, and barbecuing with everyone he loved. He will be deeply missed.
At this time, we are respectfully requesting any donations to help Marlon’s wife Joyce with immediate assistance with healthcare, housing, and funeral expenses. There is no donation to small that wouldn’t be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your positive energy and time.
Respectfully,
The Aquino Family
