Get Charlotte Walking Again

Hi!
My name is Charlotte and I am a 7 yr old miniature golden doodle and a personal greeter at Sublime Hair studio. Every day I like to meet our visitors at the door when they arrive for their hair appointments and see them out when they leave our salon.
One fine Saturday, about 2 weeks ago, I was sitting on a loveseat dozing when the front door opened. Alarmed, I jumped down to see who had arrived but somehow landed in an unfortunate way. I let out a screech and realized that I had hurt my left leg badly! Everyone around me realized it too. I lay there and could not get up. My Mama came running and immediately stood me up to inspect my injury. But, it was too painful. I could not stand and I certainly could not walk.
We went to the emergency vet service and after a series of X-rays on both my legs, we were told that I had torn a ligament and had dislocated my kneecap in my left leg. He told us that both areas in one leg required surgeries and worst luck ever, the other leg needed surgery too! We went home with pain and inflammation meds and since then, my dog walker ( and best friend) has had to carry me to do my business, to get to work and to get home. I still can’t walk.
My Mama runs a small hair salon and she pays all the rent and bills to keep it going for herself and her clients.
Since Covid has hit, Mama was shut
down so often she cannot afford my
surgeries by herself. She decided that at this point only one leg could be done
since there is a two month recovery
period and she has to work to support us.
The amount we are hoping to raise is $4300.00 because that is what it will cost to repair the tear and fix my knee in my left leg. The other leg will have to wait until I can walk again.
We know that we have supporters out there….my Mama has met so many people over 15 years of business, she has a wonderful family and also has many friends.
We are very grateful to have all of
you in our lives and we are asking you to help me walk again.
Please reach out to your friends as well. As many supporters and dog admirers/lovers as possible. We need you! We understand it’s Christmas and times are tough. Any donation towards my recovery would be helpful!
Knowing some of you, I know we can
make this happen! I have hope that I will be myself again, return to my job as salon greeter and get to play in the snow later on this winter.
Thanks everyone for hearing my story. I thought you should know how things went down and how much you are appreciated by all of us at Sublime Hair Studio.
Seasons Greetings,
Charlotte
