Hi there, my name is Alanna and I am advocating for my dad, Tim.
In 2018 my dad’s vision began to blur and within hours he lost the ability to see out of one eye. He was quickly diagnosed with a detached retina and underwent emergency surgery to save his vision. The next step in the equation was cataract surgery; unfortunately, my dad’s vehicle was broken into and his “eye surgical savings” along with his personal belongings were stolen.
My dad has worked as an independent contractor and does not have health/vision insurance. He has attempted to save the money needed to undergo the procedure, however, like most works paycheck to paycheck.
