Dear Family, Friends and Supporters
Sister Bayyinah Muhammad, a pioneer in the civil rights movement and long time activist for African Americans, women and human rights who has worked on behalf of underprivileged communities for 44 years has fallen ill to 2nd Stage Breast Cancer. She is a fighter and will battle this disease with all that she has. She has already undergone 3 of the 6 prescribed treatments but has now been found to have another infection because of the weakening of her immune system caused by the cancer treatments and is currently in the hospital.
Sis Bayyinah is a grandmother and has been a mother figure to many families over the years and we will be by her side until this awful disease is removed from her completely. She has been an example and mentor to so many young women over the years. She is in good spirits and sends the greetings out to everyone and asks for your prayers and positive energy.
With mounting bills and expenses, the family is in need of whatever help can be provided without it being a strain on anyone’s personal situation or family. Sis Bayyinah was working every day before starting her treatments & knows that this is a difficult time for so many families and does not desire that anyone help her beyond their means. If all you can give is your prayer, that is more than enough and she is grateful to know that you are thinking of her and keeping her in your thoughts.
For those who can help monetarily, there is no donation or gift too small. Please be assured that your gifts will directly benefit Sister Bayyinah and her immediate family for her recovery.
Thank you to all donors for your compassion and support. May God continue to bless you and your families.
