LAMUN-UCAB's Road to Colombia

LAMUN-UCAB is an institution that has been changing lives of college students 

LAMUN-UCAB is the delegation of the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello for Latin American Models of United Nations. We are a group of college students, from Caracas, Venezuela, who work hardly and prepare during an entire year for a United Nations simulation competition, where our abilities of oratory, negotiation, diplomacy and debate are required.

We have participated in competitions in Mexico and Colombia for more than 15 years, bringing tens of recognitions and great experiences to our beloved country: Venezuela. These kinds of initiatives develop the capacities and experience for the future leaders of our country and the world.

Nowadays, the economic panorama of our country is terribly negative. Our currency has been devaluated several times and we have an inflation rate of almost 100%. This poor economic environment puts in risks our participation in this and future competitions. It is not fair that for the mismanagement of our government of the economic policies, students with goals of improvement and development, like us, have to stop participating in international competitions, becoming more and more isolated from the rest of the world each day.

These are the reasons why we are coming to you. With your help, you will support our educational and personal development through our participation in the Model of United Nations of the Universidad de Los Andes, in Bogotá, Colombia, next year. This is the way you can support us to achieve and enhance our truly global abilities and to understand the problems that affect our country and the entire world, in order to start working on the solutions.
