G Parachute Bty (Mercer’s troop) ‘2 Miler Relay’

On the 28th of April 2021 ten soldiers from Command Troop, G Parachute Battery (Mercer’s troop) will be embarking on an event which will see individuals conduct a relay style event of ‘2 milers’ continuously for 24hrs in order to raise money for combat stress.
The event itself will take place at Merville Barracks, Colchester, the home of 16 Air assault brigade. 

What is a ‘2 miler’? Ammunition is time, each man must move as quickly as possible from the forming up point to the line of departure,In fighting order. This will involve each participant carrying kit weighing 16Kg, this will comprise of webbing, body armour and helmet.
